TEACHING 

Hoyori Maruo is a movement artist, choreographer and movement educator based in Sydney, Australia.

She specialises in contemporary floorwork and physical theatre. Hoyori also teaches concert and commercial contemporary with a focus on growing individual artistry and dancers developing a sense of self as a movement artist. Her phrasework has a concentration on weight shifts, full body movements, improvisation and physical theatre. 

In NYC, Hoyori has taught at PMT and pop up classes at Gibney. Currently, in Australia, she teaches at Brent St Performing Arts, Ettingshausens and K&V Dance Corp weekly. She has guested at Syney Dance Company, Co-Lab Quarters, Ev&Bow Youth Company, amongst others. She has assisted choreographers such as Shannon Burns, Shannon Atkins, Gina Menichino, Cat Cogliandro in classes, conventions, choreography and audition processes.
